France Telecom income slips in first half


July 31, 2008 France Telecom Thursday posted half-year income of 2.7 billion euros ($4.2 billion), down from 3.3 billion euros in the first six months of 2007. In France, the company saw a 66% increase in subscriptions to its ADSL TV services, to 1.4 million subscribers, as of June 30, while VOD services more than doubled to 2.2 million paid downloads.
