CTV going wall-to-wall for Winter Games

August 27, 2008 Canadian broadcaster CTV, host broadcaster of the 2010 Olympics from Vancouver/Whistler, is planning round-the-clock coverage of the Winter Games. Keith Pelley, president of the CTV/Rogers Communications consortium that holds the Canadian rights to the Games, said Wednesday that the broadcaster intends to air or stream every second of the Vancouver/Whistler sporting action across a cluster of domestic TV networks and media platforms. Rogers will bring its Sportsnet sports channel, its OMNI- and Citytv-branded TV stations, and its mobile platform as the country's largest wireless phone provider.
