DHX Media posts higher Q3 earnings

Canadian series producer reports record revenue

TORONTO -- Canadian kids and family series producer DHX Media reported Friday higher third-quarter earnings on record revenue.

Halifax-based DHX recorded CAN$875,533 ($875,200) in earnings for the three months to March 31, against earnings of CAN$133,890 in 2007.

Revenue came to CAN$20.4 million ($20.4 million), against a year-earlier CAN$5.3 million, as DHX delivered 78.5 series half-hours during the latest quarter, against 27 for the third quarter of 2007.

DHX, best known for its "Bo on the GO!" and "Chop Socky Chooks" series, expects to deliver about 50 half-hours of product in the fourth quarter.
