United Russia forms media group


August 21, 2008 United Russia, the country's main political party, is creating its own media group and TV channel, the ITAR-TASS wire service reported Wednesday. According to the report, Andrei Vorobyov, head of the party's central executive committee, said the group will be created "to consolidate opportunities for the developing of the party's media resources and promotion of its image."
