Lithuania to complete digital switch by 2012

MOSCOW -- The Lithuanian government has announced a complete digital TV switchover by Nov. 29, 2012.

The switchover program stipulates that all legislative acts governing the operation of the TV industry should be brought in line with the realities of digital broadcasting, relevant funds allotted and an information campaign conducted among the population. However, the cost of the digital switch has yet to be estimated.
