EC looks into Eutelsat-China issues
August 22, 2008 The European Commission is investigating European satellite operator Eutelsat's failure to broadcast a private Chinese channel's signal for two months. The company denied any prejudice against NTDTV, which calls itself the only Chinese channel not linked to the Communist government. NTDTV says that Eutelsat hopes to sign contracts with the Chinese government and has succumbed to pressure.
