Agents are a dedicated bunch. Then there's Jacobs, whose singular devotion to such clients as Johnny Depp, Harrison Ford and William Petersen has made her perhaps the most powerful female agent in town. She signed Depp when he was 23 and has since taken him to superstar status, this year inking him a monster deal with Disney to return for a fourth "Pirates of the Caribbean" and to star as Tonto in a "Lone Ranger" reboot. Turning 50 this year, Jacobs celebrated by signing such new clients as Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Lopez.

In April she was rumored to be headed to Endeavor along with a trio of defectors. Instead, Jacobs re-upped with UTA, making her one of only a handful of women on the executive board of a major agency. "It's a big deal," she says. "Hopefully, it affects my ability to make more positive changes at the agency, today and in the future."
