Avery travels the world for both work and pleasure, finding ways to merge her love of the great outdoors with the worldwide scope of Paramount's mountain. "Who I am at work is who I am in my personal life," she says. She arrived at Par after eight years with DreamWorks, and the shift has been a success. In 2007, growth reached $4.5 billion in worldwide consumer spending for the first time in the studio's history, and its market share has climbed to No. 3. This year she oversaw the Blu-ray releases of "Iron Man" and "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," while the blips on her radar for 2009 include paying attention to "advances in technology that enhance current products or create new product offerings" and "growth opportunities through expanded worldwide distribution and marketing partnerships." |
