Megan Colligan

63. Megan Colligan

Co-president of domestic marketing, Paramount Pictures

Lifelong athlete Colligan likes to view her career through a sports prism. "The thing about movie marketing is that each weekend you know if you won or lost," she says. "We have a football game every single weekend, and at the end of each weekend you know what you did well and what you need to improve."

The exec made the move earlier this year from running Paramount Vantage campaigns on specialty projects like "The Kite Runner" to studio titles when Vantage was folded into big Paramount. This fall she is behind the marketing on awards hopefuls like "Revolutionary Road" and "Defiance." "The biggest thing I was surprised to learn in the transition is how similar it all is," she says. "When you have a great, entertaining movie, you have to make every group understand what's in it for them. It's the same if you're doing 'A Mighty Heart' or a 'Madagascar.' "
