Under the leadership of Michelle Satter, director of the Sundance Feature Film Program, and the artistic direction of Gyula Gazdag, the projects picked include emerging filmmakers from the U.S., China, India, Morocco, Latin America, the U.K. and the Netherlands.
Directors Lab projects are "All Fall Down," from writer-director Jonathan Wysocki; "Beasts of the Southern Wild" (writer-director Benh Zeitlin and co-writer Lucy Alibar); "Goodnight Moon" (writer-director Elgin James); "My Brother the Devil" (writer-director Sally El Hosaini); "Porfirio" (writer/director Alejandro Landes); "The Narrow Frame of Midnight" (writer/director Tala Hadid); "On the Ice" (writer/director Andrew Okpeaha MacLean); and "The Story of Ram" (writer/director Ritesh Batra).
The Screenwriters Lab projects are "The American People" (from writer-director Keith Davis); "Hello, I Must be Going" (writer Sarah Koskoff and director Todd Louiso); "Land" (co-writer-director Jan-Willem van Ewijk and co-writer Abdelhadi Samih); and "Little Wings" (co-writer/director Emily Tang and co-writer Chow Keung).
