Elwes, Heard uncover 'Edison' roles

Duo joins 'Edison'

Cary Elwes and John Heard have joined Morgan Freeman, Kevin Spacey, LL Cool J, Justin Timberlake and Piper Perabo in "Edison." The film, being directed by David Burke, follows a journalist (Timberlake) who uncovers an elite unit of corrupt cops and makes an uneasy alliance with a reporter (Freeman) and the district attorney's ace investigator (Spacey). Elwes will play a district attorney, and Hurt will play the head of a special police unit. Emmett/Furla's Randall Emmett, George Furla and John Thompson are producing, with Millennium's Avi Lerner, Boaz Davidson and Trevor Short serving as executive producers. Elwes is repped by UTA and Evolution Entertainment. Heard is represented by Marisa Johnston and Agency for the Performing Arts.
