'White' flags for Lohman and Nelson
'White' adds duo
April 8, 2004
Alison Lohman and Tim Blake Nelson have joined the cast of "The Big White," a dark comedy starring Robin Williams that Mark Mylod is directing. Holly Hunter, Giovanni Ribisi and James Woods have already been cast in the indie feature, which is being produced by Christopher Eberts and Chris Roberts through their Ascendant Pictures shingle. David Faigenblum also is producing. Filming is set to start Monday in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and the Yukon. Williams will play an Alaskan travel agent with a deranged wife (Hunter). The travel agent thinks he has found the answer to his financial problems in the form of a frozen body in the garbage bin behind his office and pretends that it's his long-missing brother. Lohman will play the girlfriend of the insurance agent (Ribisi) investigating the case, while Nelson will play a low-level gangster trying to recover the dead body. Lohman, repped by CAA, most recently starred in "Big Fish" and "Matchstick Men." Among Nelson's credits are appearances in "Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed," "Holes," "The Good Girl" and "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" Repped by UTA and manager Amy Guenther, he also is a writer and director.
