Foley, Fox set acting, production gigs

Foley, Fox TV pact

Scott Foley has inked a development deal with 20th Century Fox TV to topline a series project for the studio.

Under the one-year pact, estimated to be in the mid-six-figure range, the studio will try to develop a half-hour or one-hour project for Foley targeted for next season.

"I want to try to do something that is different and exciting," Foley said.

Foley will serve as a producer on the project developed for him.

The deal marks Foley's return to 20th TV following his starring role on the studio's comedy "A.U.S.A." for NBC last year.

It was his experience with the studio doing "A.U.S.A." that prompted him to turn down other projects and venture into development with 20th TV.

"They are such a wonderful group of people, and (presidents) Dana Walden and Gary Newman are fantastic," Foley said.

Coming off a recurring role on the NBC comedy "Scrubs," Foley will next be seen in Wes Craven's horror picture "Cursed."

Foley, who rose to prominence with his starring role on the WB Network's "Felicity," is repped by UTA and attorney Jason Sloane.
