OutKast's Andre 3000 has signed on to star in Paramount Pictures and Lorenzo Di Bonaventura's untitled Mark Wahlberg project, formerly known as "Four Brothers." It is the first major studio project for the hip-hop star.

Tyrese and Garrett Hedlund ("Friday Night Lights") also are on board. They'll play Andre 3000's siblings along with Wahlberg, who was previously announced as one of the brothers. Principal photography is scheduled to begin Monday in Toronto.

John Singleton will direct the drama from a script by David Elliot and Paul Lovett about four brothers who seek to avenge their mother's death.

Andre 3000's previous forays into cinema include the upcoming MGM feature "Be Cool" and Guy Ritchie's current project, "Revolver." He also is starring in HBO's untitled OutKast movie.

Tyrese can be seen in the 20th Century Fox remake "The Flight of the Phoenix" and will appear in the Naval Academy drama "Annapolis" for Walt Disney Studios.

The film marks the third feature film for Hedlund, who has appeared in "Troy" and "Friday Night Lights." Tyrese and Andre 3000 are repped by WMA. Hedlund is repped by Endeavor.
