Bean journeys to 'Silent Hill' with TriStar
Bean game for 'Hill'

Sean Bean has signed on to star in "Silent Hill," the adaptation of the best-selling video game franchise. TriStar Pictures will distribute the film.
Bean will play the husband of the female lead, played by Radha Mitchell, in the feature about a mother and a daughter looking into the secrets of an abandoned town. Christophe Gans is directing, Samuel Hadida is producing and financing the film via his Davis Film Prods. shingle and Konami Corp., and Roger Avary wrote the script.
Bean is shooting the untitled Niki Caro project (formerly known as "Class Action") in New Mexico. He also is commuting to Toronto to shoot "Silent Hill," which began filming this week.
Bean next will be seen in Michael Bay's "The Island" in July and then in "Flight Plan" with Jodie Foster.
Bean most recently was seen in "National Treasure." He is repped by Seven Summits and CAA.
