Spanish-language television and radio broadcaster Univision Communications Inc. said Friday it has named Andrew W. Hobson as chief financial officer, on top of his current titles of senior executive vp and chief strategic officer. Hobson succeeds Jeffrey Hinson, who resigned to pursue other interests in Dallas, where he lives. Hinson will be available until year-end during the transition, the company said. Hobson, who joined Univision in 1993, will continue to report to A. Jerrold Perenchio, Univision's chairman and CEO. Univision closed down 0.9% on Friday at $27.19.
