ThinkFilm has acquired North American rights to the documentary "The Big Question." Shot in English and Italian, the film was directed by Francesco Cabras and Alberto Molinari, two actors who appeared in Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ." Shooting on the set of "Passion," they interviewed their fellow actors Gibson, Monica Bellucci and Jim Caviezel, among others, about such questions as faith and the nature of divinity. ThinkFilm plans an Easter '06 theatrical release. The deal was negotiated by Andrew Herwitz for the Film Sales Company on behalf of the filmmakers and Daniel Katz and Richard Rapakowski on behalf of ThinkFilm. Separately, U.K. rights to the film were acquired by Frank Mannion's Swipe Films, which also plans a spring theatrical release in the U.K. and Ireland.
