Writer-producer Caryn Lucas has been tapped to pen the half-hour ABC project starring former "American Idol" finalist Constantine Maroulis. (HR 10/03). The project, from Paramount Network TV and studio-based Grammnet Prods. is loosely based on the long-haired rocker's real life and his extended family in New York. "Constantine has just got it," Lucas said. "None of it needs to be made up. He has a wonderfully funny, rich family life." Lucas, executive producer/showrunner of WB Network's "What I Like About You," is repped by the Gersh Agency and Blueprint Artists Management's Alex Hertzberg.
