Top IPA nod to 'Brokeback'

Ang Lee's "Brokeback Mountain" took home four honors as the International Press Academy handed out its 10th annual Satellite Awards Saturday at the Four Seasons Hotel. It was named best motion picture drama, Lee was hailed as best director and it also picked up trophies for its editing by Geraldine Peroni and Dylan Tichenor and its song, "A Love That Will Never Grow Old" by Gustavo Santaolalla and Bernie Taupin.
"Capote's" Philip Seymour Hoffman was named best actor in a motion picture drama, and Felicity Huffman was chosen as best dramatic film actress. For her role in "Desperate Housewives," she tied for best actress in a TV comedy series with Mary-Louise Parker of "Weeds."
Satellites in the motion picture, musical or comedy category went to "Walk the Line" as best film, Terrence Howard of "Hustle & Flow" as best actor and Reese Witherspoon as best actress.
The group also presented awards to Gena Rowlands (the Mary Pickford Award for outstanding artistic contribution to the motion picture industry); Stan Winston (Tesla Award in recognition of visionary achievement in filmmaking technology); George Clooney (special achievement for "Good Night, and Good Luck"); Rupert Friend (outstanding new talent); "Crash" (best ensemble) and "Rescue Me" (best TV ensemble).
