Col's 'Reign' o'er Burrows, Tyler, Smith

Trio mull joining 'Reign' cast

Saffron Burrows, Jada Pinkett Smith and Liv Tyler are in final negotiations to join the cast of the drama "Reign O'er Me" for Columbia Pictures. Adam Sandler and Don Cheadle are toplining.

Helmed by Mike Binder, the film centers on a man (Sandler) who lost his family in the Sept. 11 attacks and has not recovered from his grief. He runs into his college roommate (Cheadle), who is now a psychiatrist and is determined to help him cope with the loss.

Burrows would play Donna, a patient of Cheadle's character who has entanglements with both men. Smith is set to play Janeane, the wife of Cheadle's character, while Tyler would play Angela, a psychiatrist.

Burrows, whose credits include "Troy" and "Klimt," next appears in "Perfect Creature" for 20th Century Fox. She is repped by ICM and Scott Zimmerman at Evolution.

The role would mark Smith's return to acting after taking a break to tour with her metal band Wicked Wisdom. Her credits include "Collateral," "Madagascar" and the second and third installments of the "Matrix" trilogy. She is repped by ICM, managers James Lassiter and Miguel Melendez and attorney Jason Sloan.

Tyler's credits include the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, "One Night at McCool's" and "Armageddon." She is repped by UTA, manager David Schiff and attorney Barry Hirsch.
