Talkington in her 'League' with Fox pic

'League' of her own

Tatiana Siegel
Fox 2000 has tapped Amy Talkington to pen an untitled Junior League project. Talkington will adapt Linda Francis Lee's upcoming novel, tentatively titled "The Devil in the Junior League." The comedic book will be published by St. Martin's Press. The story centers on a 28-year-old Texas wife struggling to get pregnant who discovers her husband has drained their bank account and run off with his mistress. Broke, she turns to her neighbor, a nouveau riche lawyer who agrees to represent her if she can transform his vulgar wife into Junior League material. Laura Hopper is producing, with Fox 2000's Carla Hacken and Erin Lindsey overseeing for the studio. Talkington recently wrapped her directorial debut, the indie "The Night of the White Pants," which she also wrote. The offbeat comedy stars Tom Wilkinson, Nick Stahl and Selma Blair. She is repped by UTA, Rigberg Entertainment Group and attorney Warren Dern.
