Alums back for 'Wing' sendoff

'Wing' reunion

Nellie Andreeva
Rob Lowe and eight other "West Wing" alums are set to return for the White House drama's final episodes.

Meanwhile, Ted Danson is in final negotiations to topline ABC's comedy pilot "Help Me Help You" and, separately, to do a seven-episode arc on NBC's upcoming dramedy series "Heist."

In other pilot castings, Hope Davis has joined ABC's drama "Six Degrees," Victor Garber has come on board Fox's drama "American Crime," Michael Landes is set to star opposite Bonnie Hunt in her untitled comedy for ABC, and RonReaco Lee has joined NBC's untitled Willie Reale drama.

Additionally, Amanda Righetti and Bess Wohl have joined ABC's drama pilot "Enemies," Rachael Harris, Michael Weaver and Melanie Paxon have joined ABC's comedy "Notes From the Underbelly," Tamara Taylor has come on board the untitled Peter Ocko drama for CBS, and Sean Maguire has been added to CBS' comedy series "The Class."

Lowe, who left "The West Wing" in 2003, will reprise his role as Sam Seaborn in the final two episodes of Aaron Sorkin's Emmy-winning series.

Also reprising their roles with appearances in one or more of the drama's final five episodes are Mary-Louise Parker, Anna Deavere Smith, Emily Procter, Marlee Matlin, Gary Cole, Tim Matheson, Timothy Busfield and Annabeth Gish.

"Help Me Help You," from Regency TV, is a single-camera ensemble comedy about a disparate group of people connected through therapy.

Danson would play a psychologist who runs the group sessions.

Also joining the pilot, to be directed by Brian Dannelly, are Charlie Finn and Jim Rash.

On "Heist," an NBC Uni TV/Sony Pictures TV dramedy about an elaborate heist in Beverly Hills, Danson would play a cop. NBC and NBC Uni TV declined comment.

Emmy winner Danson, who was nominated for a SAG Award this year for his starring role in the A&E telefilm "Knights of the South Bronx," next will be seen in the indie "The Amateurs."

He is repped by CAA, Keith Addis and Ira Liss at Industry Entertainment and attorney Bryan Wolf.

"Six Degrees," from Touchstone TV, is a soap about the intertwined stories of a group of strangers in New York.

Davis, who was nominated for a Golden Globe for her role in "American Splendor," next will be seen in the indie "Infamous" and Lasse Hallstrom's "The Hoax."

"American Crime," from WBTV and Jerry Bruckheimer TV, centers on a group of powerful Los Angeles defense attorneys.

Garber's tenure on ABC's "Alias" has earned him three Emmy nominations.

The untitled Bonnie Hunt/Don Lake comedy, from Touchstone TV, stars Hunt as a single woman who works as a detective.

Also cast in the pilot is Malcolm Barrett (Fox's "Luis").

Landes, whose casting stems from his talent deal with ABC and Touchstone, is repped by Endeavor and Leverage.

Barrett is repped by Gersh and Blueprint.

The untitled Willie Reale project, from NBC Uni TV and Conaco Prods., is a dark comedic hour about the reincarnation of a murdered politician (Cary Elwes) who gets a second chance.

Lee's casting stems from the actor's talent deal with NBC Uni TV that he signed after his memorable role on the studio's short-lived comedy series for NBC "Committed."

He is repped by ICM and Principato-Young Entertainment.

"Enemies," from Touchstone TV, revolves around two childhood friends-turned-enemies.

Righetti, who most recently co-starred on the Fox series "Reunion," is repped by Endeavor and Dave Fleming of Mosaic Media.

Wohl ("The Shaggy Dog") is repped by UTA and Untitled Entertainment.

"Notes From the Underbelly," from WBTV, is an ensemble comedy about a group of friends told from the point of view of an expectant couple.

Harris, most recently on Showtime's "Fat Actress," is repped by Innovative Artists and Principato-Young.

Weaver (UPN's "The Mullets") is repped by the Paul Kohner Agency and Untitled Entertainment.

In other pilot castings, Tom McGowan has been cast in CBS' "Play Nice," Michelle Hurd and Chris Bauer have joined CBS' "Smith" and Stana Katic and Reed Diamond are joining Fox's "Faceless."

Katic is repped by Abrams Artists and Third Hill Entertainment. Diamond is with Paradigm.
