Silverstone lead in ABC comedy

Alicia Silverstone has been tapped as the lead in ABC's comedy pilot "Pink Collar," while Alexondra Lee has landed the lead in another comedy pilot, NBC's "Alpha Mom."

Meanwhile, Alan Dale has joined ABC's one-hour pilot "Ugly Betty," Jennifer Coolidge has come on board Fox's comedy pilot "If You Lived Here, You'd Be Home Now," Shawn Hatosy has been tapped as the second lead in Fox's comedy pilot "Southern Comfort," Rosemarie DeWitt has landed the female lead opposite Ron Livingston in Fox's drama pilot "Primary," Jennifer Aspen has joined CBS' comedy pilot "Welcome to the Jungle Gym," Paige Turco has come on board ABC's one-hour pilot "Women in Law," Ming-Na and Robert Hoffman round out the cast of Fox's drama pilot "Vanished," and newcomer Brian Thomas Smith will play the lead in Fox's comedy pilot "The 12th Man."

Additionally, Pamela Reed has joined CBS' drama pilot "Jericho," Kevin Weisman has been cast in ABC's comedy pilot "Mr. Nice Guy," Seth Gabel and Adrian Lester have joined Fox's drama pilot "Beyond," and Gabriel Casseus and Alex Fernandez have been added to ABC's drama pilot "Sixty Minute Man."

"Pink Collar," from HBO Independent Prods. and Touchstone TV, is a single-camera comedy exploring female relationships within the workplace.

Silverstone, recently featured in the comedy "Beauty Shop," recently wrapped a limited run of David Mamet's "Boston Marriage" at the Geffen Playhouse in Westwood. She next will be seen in "Stormbreaker."

She is repped by Innovative Artists and manager Carolyn Kessler.

"Alpha Mom," from NBC Universal TV Studio, centers on a corporate mom (Lee) who tries to balance kids, a stay-at-home husband and a job.

Lee, whose series credits include UPN's "Special Unit 2" and Fox's "Party of Five," is repped by APA.

"Ugly Betty," from Touchstone TV, centers on an unattractive young woman (America Ferrera) who works at a fashion magazine.

Dale, whose series credits include Fox's "The O.C." and CBS' "NCIS," is repped by APA and manager Steve Himber.

"If You Lived Here," from CBS Paramount Network TV, revolves around diverse group of people who live at a temporary housing complex in Los Angeles.

Coolidge (NBC's "Joey") next will be seen in the features "Click" and "For Your Consideration." She is repped by ICM.

"Southern Comfort," from 20th Century Fox TV, centers on a nerd-turned-billionaire (Johnny Lewis) who moves back to his small hometown and butts heads with his jock older brother (Hatosy).

Hatosy ("Alpha Dog") is repped by the Gersh Agency and manager Mary Erickson.

"Primary," from 20th TV, revolves around male (Livingston) and female (DeWitt) hostage negotiators who balance their budding relationship and their job.

DeWitt next will be seen in the Fox Searchlight feature "Margaret." Also cast in the pilot is Raquel Alessi ("Ghost Rider").

DeWitt and Alessi are repped by Gersh.

"Welcome to the Jungle Gym," from Warner Bros. TV, revolves around a career woman/new mom (Teri Polo) and her two friends, one of them played by Aspen. She most recently starred on ABC's "Rodney."

"Women in Law," from Sony Pictures TV and 25 C Prods., is a dramedy about women working at a law firm. Turco's series credits include Fox's "Party of Five" and ABC's "NYPD Blue."

"Vanished," from 20th TV, chronicles the disappearance of a senator's wife. Ming-Na (NBC's "ER") will play an FBI agent assigned to the case, while Hoffman ("She's the Man") will play a news cameraman who covers the case.

"The 12th Man," from 20th TV, centers on a benchwarmer player (Smith) for an NBA team.

Reed is segueing to the postapocalyptic "Jericho," produced by CBS Par TV, from WB Network's "Pepper Dennis."

"Mr. Nice Guy," from Touchstone TV and Brillstein Gray TV, centers on a well-intentioned guy who always ends up looking bad. Also cast in the pilot is Carla DeLizia (Fox's "Boston Public").

Weisman (ABC's "Alias") is repped by APA and manager Holly Lebed.

"Beyond," from 20th TV and Imagine TV, is a thriller set at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

Gabel (FX's "Nip/Tuck") will play a scientist. Lester (UPN's "Girlfriends") will play the head of the research lab.

Gabel is repped by ICM, manager Sherry Marsh and attorney Patti Felker.

"Sixty Minute Man," from Touchstone TV, centers on a suburban family man (David James Elliott), who discovers he might be the key player in a conspiracy that could alter the course of U.S. history. Casseus ("Black Hawk Down") and Fernandez (ABC's "Commander in Chief") play detectives.

Casseus is repped by APA. Fernandez is repped by Defining Artists.
