Uni listens to 'Loudermilk' pitch
Heder heads to comedy
April 5, 2006
Universal Pictures has pre-emptively picked up "Loudermilk," a comedy pitch from Chris Bowman with Jon Heder attached to star.
Heder also is producing with his brothers Dan and Doug Heder via their Universal-based shingle Greasy Entertainment. The project is the first to be acquired since Greasy set up shop at the studio in January.
The story details of "Loudermilk" are being kept under wraps, though it is known to be a high-concept comedy.
Heder is best known for playing Napoleon Dynamite. He stars in the comedy "The Benchwarmers" with David Spade and Rob Schneider, which opens Friday. Heder is shooting "Blades of Glory" with Will Ferrell. The Heders are repped by CAA and Mosaic Media.
Bowman, a writer-director, is shooting his first feature this year in Utah. The movie, "American Fork," is being produced by Derek Beumer, Shannon Gardener and Jeremy Coon ("Napoleon Dynamite").
Bowman is repped by the Gotham Group and attorney Karl Austen.
