Bruckheimer, Dis recruit 'Game Boys'

Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films have acquired "Game Boys," an action spec by Tom Ropelewski and Evan Katz. Jerry Bruckheimer is producing.
The story revolves around two thirtysomething video game junkies recruited by the Department of Homeland Security to lead a geeky army of gamers in a battle against creatures that have come to life from a video game they have mastered.
Bruckheimer Films' Mike Stenson and Chad Oman will exec produce. Leslie Dixon ("Freaky Friday") will serve as a producer in some capacity.
Jason Reed oversees for the studio.
Tom Ropelewski wrote episodes of "Simon & Simon" and "Scarecrow and Mrs. King" before going to co-write and direct "Look Who's Talking Now" and writing "The Next Best Thing."
Katz is a writer-producer on Fox's "24." He is repped by Endeavor.
Ropelewski, Katz and Dixon are additionally repped by Michael Gendler of Gendler & Kelly.
