Warners 'Committed' to pitch
Swinging at pitch
June 23, 2006
Warner Bros. Pictures is in negotiations to pick up "Committed for Life," a comedy pitch from scribe Shane Morris. Bob Cooper would produce via his Landscape Entertainment.
"Committed" is based on real events where undercover FBI agents of the opposite sex planned a wedding that turned out to be a sting against the mob. The movie version would pose the question of whether the two fall in love and thus disobey the FBI rulebook.
Exec producing is Charles Segars ("National Treasure").
Landscape just sent Alex Graves to take over for Brad Silberling on "The Crusaders." Their next release will be the comedy "John Tucker Must Die."
Morris, repped by Paradigm and Zero Gravity Management, is the writer of "The Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning."
