Blue Star Pictures and Mandalay Pictures have optioned T.S. Faull's original screenplay "Living Dead Girl."

Eric Tessier is attached to direct.

Faull's screenplay centers on a dead woman who rises from the grave as a zombie to track down her killer and save his latest victim. She is aided on her journey by a handsome funeral director who has a thing for dead girls and helps her stave off decomposition.

Blue Star and Mandalay are producing. Rhiannon Meier is overseeing development for Blue Star. Jason Shuman and William Sherak are attached to produce.

Tessier wrote and directed Alliance Atlantis Pictures' 2003 horror thriller "Sur le seuil" (Evil Words).

Atlantic Streamline is in postproduction on "Butterfly: A Grimm Love Story," a horror script by Faull for director Martin Weiss, starring Keri Russell and Thomas Kretschmann.

Faull is repped by Jewerl Ross of Silent R Management. Tessier is repped by ICM.
