Knight Ridder Digital chief to head HotJobs expansion

AP
SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Media and Internet executive Daniel J. Finnigan will head HotJobs.com's expansion into the lucrative recruitment classifieds market, Yahoo! officials announced Monday. Finnigan was president of Knight Ridder's digital operations since 1999, where he managed all the media company's Internet products, brands and operations. Those properties included Real Cities Network and CareerBuilder, Knight Ridder's joint venture with Tribune Company. At Yahoo, he will be senior vice president, as well as executive vice president and general manager of HotJobs, where he'll be responsible for all company operations. Yahoo acquired HotJobs in February, and Finnigan will help advance integration between the two companies and HotJob's expansion into online recruiting, Yahoo said in a statement. He'll be based in New York City.
