NBC's 'Dog' bares ratings teeth in 18-49 demo Monday

NBC's reality series "Dog Eat Dog" had some bite on Monday amid reruns on competing networks. "Dog Eat Dog" averaged 10.5 million viewers and 4.8 rating/14 share in the adults 18-49 demographic from 9-10 p.m. CBS' rerun of "Everybody Loves Raymond" was nonetheless the most-watched show of the night with an average of 11.4 million viewers and 3.7/11 in 18-49, according to preliminary estimates from Nielsen Media Research. That helped CBS win the night overall with 9.9 million average in total viewers, while NBC prevailed in the demo with 3.8/12. It was slow going for ABC with its 8-11 p.m. telecast of "Sling Blade" yielding just 7.1 million viewers and 2.8/8 in 18-49. But Fox was truly off the primetime radar with reruns of "Boston Public" and "Ally McBeal" veering into cable-level territory for a nightly average of 3.2 million viewers and 1.4/5 in 18-49.
