'Dog' can't outrun CBS Monday night

CBS outruns 'Dog'

Cynthia Littleton
NBC's "Dog Eat Dog" was frisky on Monday amid a sea of reruns, but CBS still won the night in total viewers on the strength of its 9 p.m. "Everybody Loves Raymond" rerun. "Dog Eat Dog" averaged 10 million viewers and 4.5 rating/13 share in the adults 18-49 demo in the 9 p.m. hour. The first half of "Dog Eat Dog" fell behind CBS' "Raymond" rerun (13.2 million, 4.2/13), but its viewership grew considerably from 9:30-10 p.m. ABC was scraping the bottom with its 8-11 p.m. telecast of the James Bond classic "Goldfinger" (4.9 million, 1.7/5), while Fox fared better with its 8-10 p.m. run of comedy "American Pie" (6.4 million, 3.0/10). For the night, CBS led in total viewers (11.4 million) while "Dog Eat Dog" gave NBC the edge in the adults 18-49 demo (3.7/11).
