Pro football gives ABC a ratings kick Monday

"Monday Night Football" scored a nightly win for ABC on Monday night, while the finale of "For Love or Money 2" delivered solid numbers for NBC according to preliminary ratings results from Nielsen Media Research. Because of ABC's live NFL coverage, reliable ratings data will not be available until later today, but the network is poised to top the night with a rough estimate of 16 million viewers and a 6.5 rating/17 share among adults 18-49. Meanwhile, the two-hour "For Love and Money 2" finale (11 million, 5.7/14 in 18-49) posted the second highest nonsports 18-49 numbers this summer behind the closer of the dating series' first installment. It peaked at 14.3 million viewers and a 6.9/18 from 10:30-11 p.m. For the night, NBC was second with 11.2 million viewers and a 5.1/13, followed by CBS (9.7 million, 3.2/8) and Fox (5.1 million, 2.4/6).
