With all of this great talent how could this movie be so awful? Had trouble finding a point to really any of it. And it wasn't even particularly funny. Very disappointing.

Where the Wild Things Are
so here's my review.
This seems like one of those movies where you either hate it or love it. For me, it was one of the best movies I've seen in a very long time. It totally brought me way back into my childhood and brought out emotions in me I hadn't felt in forever. This movie takes a simple children's book and deepens it into a work of art.

WARNING: Do Not, I repeat, DO NOT watch this film while high! I know you’re tempted, but don’t do it! You will freak out. I feel like I’m already on drugs just watching the trailers for this film. I love Wes Anderson. He makes some great, quirky films. The Royal Tenenbaums is one of my all-time favorite films. And all though I’ve never read Fantastic Mr. Fox, I have read plenty of other Roald Dahl books and the man is a genius (The BFG is my favorite). So if you put the two together, do you get more genius? Or just a really creepy weird film? Probably both. I mostly want to see it just to find out if something this unsual and original can work. 20 Minutes too long
The pic is 20 Minutes too long. The final sequence is boring as you know that they will survive. Great CGI and other nice ideas e.g. the Titanic-Model in the opening sequence foreshadowing the end of the movie

Where the Wild Things Are
Depressing
While the young actor was very talented, and the animation was well executed, this film was depressing and not something I think impressionable children should see. The message of the movie seemed to be "Don't aspire to be anything great, like a king who has hopes to make a difference in the world, because in the end, we are all just regular people and you will only screw things up."
