Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Movie for the masses
This movie is engineered for the mainstream market. Many critics have slammed the movie for it's lack of depth, character development, and original insights. While true, the movie has accomplished it's goal in grand fashion: provide entertainment that is readily accessible to all who attend. The highly predictable plot of the story leans heavily on archetypes to form its story. This makes the story extremely easy to follow, even though it is about alien robot mythology and how Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) becomes central to it. Characters in the movie are also highly stereotyped. Although the stereotypes are unfair, the flat characters keep the audience from pondering the motives behind the actions. The simple storyline and characters do not allow the audience to start making inferences or asking why the adventure story progresses how it does. Focus is left solely on the action (and sex-appeal of Megan Fox). Although the movie does not challenge idealogically viewers in the least, the non-stop action scenes, etc. and musical score create the hugely successful stimuli overload that Bay was--and teenage adrenaline junkies are--looking for. You're enjoyment will depend on which category you pertain to.

Excellent film, lots of action, destruction, and robot mutilation... loved it! Only down side: way, way, way too much of that skanky Megan Fox. Kryst, when she was straddling the motorcycle at the start of the movie I swear I could see her p#ssy lips. She looks like a blow up doll with those f-ck me eyes and puffy, pouty lips. Gimme a break.

I wonder if any of these critics had a childhood. Their giant robots with guns. Jeez loosen up. The movie was great!!!! lots of action and lots of laughs. I think we should all go to the movies and for 2 and a half hour forget how hard life has been and just have some fun. Yes even you Mr. Critic

Lots of noise. Robots fight each other, but get kinda blended in, so that you have to squint to see what's going on... and that doesn't work, either. The humor is so low-brow even Jerry Springer would stalk off in disgust. The plot... what plot? Michael Bay sucks. See it if you want, then come back here and tell me all about your disappointment.
