'American Idol' Alum James Durbin Sets Album Release Date, Title
The season 10 finalist's Wind-Up Records debut will hit stores on Nov. 21, the same day Daughtry's third album is due out.
American Idol season 10 alum James Durbin will release his debut album, Memories Of A Beautiful Disaster, on Nov. 21, his label Wind-Up Records has confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter.
He’ll share the release date with another Idol rocker, season 5’s Chris Daughtry, who, coincidentally, also finished the competition in fourth place. On September 13, Daughtry tweeted that his band’s third album is also due to come out on Nov. 21.
The 22-year-old Durbin, a native of Santa Cruz, Calif. who suffers from Asperger and Tourette syndrome, signed with Wind-Up earlier this month after Universal Music Group passed on picking up his option. Wind-Up is distributed by Sony Music. Durbin is co-managed by 19 Entertainment, Red Light Management and Josh Klemme, who also represents Steven Tyler.
Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, Daughtry) produced Memories Of A Beautiful Disaster.
