You can look through the hits of Daughtry and you’ll have no luck. Here’s one more clue before the big reveal: The No. 1 love song, according to chart performance, on the Hot 100 is by an American Idol winner.

Give up? SPOILER ALERT, here’s the answer. The No. 1 love song by an Idol is “I Love You This Big” by Scotty McCreery. You won’t find a bigger song by an Idol with the word “love” in the title. In second place is the cover version of Bon Jovi’s “You Give Love a Bad Name” by season six runner-up Blake Lewis and in third place is “If This Isn’t Love” by season three’s seventh-place finalist Jennifer Hudson.
