'American Idol's' Siobhan Magnus Takes Cue From Adam Lambert, Rocks to KISS at Cape Cod Concert (Video)
The season nine belter thrilled a hometown crowd with an array of clever covers and original selections from her debut album, "Moonbaby."
It looks like Adam Lambert isn't the only American Idol that can rock out to KISS. Season nine alum Siobhan Magnus completely nailed a blistering version of the band's 1970s classic "Love Gun" at the Cape Cod Melody Tent on Thursday night.

Clad in a sheer jacket over a black tank top and white mini-dress -- coupled with Magnus' anti-style sparkling combat boots with pink laces -- the 22-year old Barnstable, Mass. native played to a hometown crowd that included close friends, her mother, and a game crowd of fans ready for the season nine alum's signature brand of in-your-face vocals. A review in the Cape Cod Times described her performance as "musical," "theatrical" and "irrepressible," noting that Magnus' songs contain "complex melodies that brought her voice down to its deep, dark center and then to its famed screaming crescendo."

Her show, which included a healthy dose of original material from her debut album Moonbaby, ran the gamut of covers including two David Bowie songs (among them "As The World Falls Down" from the cult favorite film Labyrinth). She also delved into her dramatic side with a cover of Sarah McLachlan’s “Possession," and requested audience participation from a "'90s kid" to handle harmonica while she delivered Alanis Morissette's "Hand in my Pocket" to an appreciative crowd.
