'American Idol' Stylist Criticizes TMZ Segment on Twitter; Nigel Lythgoe Responds
Longtime show stylist Miles Siggins writes: "Sorry, but who gave those retards at #tmz airtime? shame on you! awful show!"

While almost all the chatter last night centered around Pia Toscano's controversial early elimination, longtime American Idol stylist Miles Siggins had another bone to pick with show producers: the media training segment in which the Top 9 visited the offices of TMZ.
Siggins tweeted: "Sorry, but who gave those retards at #tmz airtime? Shame on you! awful show!"
According to sources, it was Fox that suggested including Harvey Levin and crew (the network had no comment) on Thursday's show, which would make sense considering TMZ's syndicated program is mostly carried by Fox affiliates.
When contacted by the Hollywood Reporter, Idol's executive producer Nigel Lythgoe would only say, "Everyone is entitled to their own opinon," although it's worth noting that the tweet has since been deleted from Siggins' timeline.
