A tribute to late divas Whitney Houston and Donna Summer will highlight the evening's events, said Lee Rolontz, executive vp original music production and development at VH1 and VH1 Classic.
“The world has truly been inspired by dance music, and what better way for VH1 to pay tribute than by honoring legends Whitney Houston and Donna Summer through song and dance," he said.
Lambert is more than ready for his turn in the spotlight and promises a fantastic night, which will reunite the season eight standout with another Idol alum, former bandleader Ricky Minor. Minor is serving as executive producer of the show, along with Jesse Ignanovic for Den of Thieves.
