Brooke White Added to NBC's 'Christmas in Rockefeller Center' Special
The "American Idol" alum joins season 10 winner Scotty McCreery and new judge Mariah Carey in New York City for the annual Christmas tree lighting special.
American Idol alum Brooke White has been added to NBC's Christmas in Rockefeller Center special airing 7 p.m. Wednesday.
White will join season 10 winner Scotty McCreery and Idol judge Mariah Carey at the televised celebration, which also features Voice coach Cee Lo Green and finalist Chris Mann. Additional performers include Victoria Justice, Rod Stewart, Trace Adkins, Tony Bennett and Il Volo with special appearances by Billy Crystal, Bette Midler and the Radio City Music Hall Rockettes. The show is hosted by Al Roker and Savannah Guthrie.
Both White and McCreery are promoting Christmas albums. White’s new CD, White Christmas, includes a cover of the Paul McCartney classic, "Wonderful Christmastime." White will perform the number in the first hour of the special.

Released in October, McCreery’s Christmas With Scotty has already been certified gold by the RIAA.
The 80th annual holiday extravaganza will light up a Norway Spruce that is approximately 80 feet tall, 50 feet in diameter and weighs about 10 tons. The tree is estimated to be 80 years old.
