Singer-songwriter Bruno Mars and former American Idol finalist Crystal Bowersox are set to perform on Idol next week.
The move keeps with the weekly tradition of having an Idol alum and current artist perform on elimination episodes, which air Thursdays.
On Wednesday's episode, the remaining six contestants will perform the songs of Carole King.
Mars, who co-wrote Cee Lo Green's "F--- You" and other hits, has found success as a singer with recent hits "Just the Way You Are" and "Grenade" off his debut album, Doo-Wops & Hooligans, released in October.
Bowersox was the runner-up on last season of Idol, behind winner Lee DeWyze. She released her debut album, Farmer's Daughter, in December.
