Pia Toscano Premieres Debut Single 'This Time' (AUDIO)

Fans in attendance of the American Idol Live! Tour had a chance to hear Season 10 alum Pia Toscano perform her brand new single, “This Time,” when the shows kicked off last week. Now, the songstress has released a studio version for the rest of us.

Toscano unveiled her new single on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM radio show Monday morning, July 11. The catchy and empowering break-up ballad is sure to please loyal Idol voters and Top 40 listeners. It will appear on her debut album, to be released by Interscope later this year.

“This Time” enlists the help of writer and co-producer Ester Dean, who penned the likes of “S&M,” “Rude Boy” and “What’s My Name” for Rihanna, in addition to Nicki Minaj's surprise hit, “Super Bass.” Also lending a hand on the album is producer Rodney Jenkins, recording three songs for Toscano.
