Chris Rock debuts on The Hollywood Reporter’s Top Comedians chart, while Kevin Hart reigns for another week.

The Top Comedians chart is a ranking of the most popular comedians on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Google Plus, with global data provided by social media analytics company MVPindex. The chart’s methodology blends social engagement on the platforms along with weekly additions of followers/subscribers. The latest tracking week ended Aug. 22.

Hart has now ruled the chart, which began in June, for 13 straight weeks, fending off challenges from D.L. Hughley, Joe Rogan and more.

Rock remembered on Instagram the comedian/civil rights activist Dick Gregory, the first black comedian who performed in white nightclubs, who died of heart failure Aug. 19 at age 84. “We lost a king,” he wrote. “They’ll [sic] never be another. Read his books. Look him up, you won’t be disappointed. Unfortunately the America that produced Dick Gregory still exists.” He attained 191,000 Instagram favorites in the tracking week, according to MVPindex.
