THR's 35 Hottest Young Latinos in Entertainment
Perhaps the biggest Latino acting heavyweight you’ve not yet heard of, Ramirez (winner of the award for most promising actor at France’s 2011 Cesar Awards for his star turn in the miniseries Carlos) will appear in director Kathryn Bigelow’s upcoming Bin Laden thriller, Zero Dark Thirty. Ramirez’s most recent role as Simon Bolivar in 2013’s Libertador, on which he also serves as executive producer, is an important one for him as a Latino actor. “We’re talking about a man who set out to change history, becoming the founding father of my country of origin, Venezuela,” says Ramirez, 35. “Bolivar’s story is bursting with dreams and possibilities.”
