'Leap!': Meet the Voices Behind Each Animated Character

Elle Fanning, Maddie Ziegler, Nat Wolff and Carly Rae Jepsen star in the film, which hits theaters Friday.

The French-Canadian production Leap! will make its American debut Aug. 25 with an all-star cast.

Elle Fanning and Nat Wolff voice runaway orphans Felicie and Victor, who move to Paris to start a new life.

Following their move, Felicie finds herself enrolled at the most prestigious ballet academy in Paris.

There, she meets new friends and formidable foes, most notably her antagonist Camille, voiced by Maddie Ziegler, a snobby ballerina-in-training who wants to see Felicie fail.

  • Elle Fanning as Felicie

    Elle Fanning voices Felicie, an orphan and want-to-be ballerina who winds up enrolled at the most prestigious ballet school in Paris.

    Fanning has starred in several films, including Maleficent, Benjamin Button and The Beguiled, as well as the upcoming film Mary Shelley. 

     

     

  • Nat Wolff as Victor

    Wolff voices Victor, Felicie's best friend who runs away to Paris with her.

    The actor most recently starred in the movies The Fault in Our Stars and Paper Towns. Wolff can also be seen in the upcoming fantasy film Mortal, which is set to premiere in 2018. 

  • Carly Rae Jepsen as Odette

    Carly Rae Jepsen is Odette, a woman who works at the Paris Opera Ballet and offers to mentor Felicie.

    Jepsen is known for her song "Call Me Maybe," which has appeared in several films and TV shows, including the animated movie Sing.

    The Dance Moms star makes her movie debut as Camille, a jealous ballerina and enemy to Felicie.

    The teen rose to fame after starring in Sia's music videos and the new film The Book of Henry.

    Ziegler and Sia have teamed up again and are currently filming a new movie titled Sister that is set to premiere in 2018. 

  • Mel Brooks as M. Luteau

    Brooks voices M. Luteau, the director of the orphanage that Victor and Felicie ran away from.

    The Oscar-winning actor is known for his work on The Producers, Blazing Saddles and many more.

    Brooks will also star in the upcoming animated film Blazing Samurai, which will hit theaters in 2018. 

     

  • Kate McKinnon as Reigne

    McKinnon plays Reigne, Camille's rich and pushy mother.

    McKinnon is known for her work on Saturday Night Live, which earned her an Emmy last year, along with Ghostbusters and Finding Dory.

    She will also star in the upcoming animated film Ferdinand, set to hit theaters in December.
