The Grove shopping center in West Hollywood as well as Americana at Brand in Glendale are each ringing in the Chinese New Year with colorful parades and, of course, some shopping.
On Jan. 29 between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., The Grove is putting on a dragon and lion dance and traditional Chinese and Korean folk dances, followed by a celebration at the Original Farmer's Market.
The following weekend, on Feb. 4 between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., The Americana will kick off the Year of the Rooster with a parade and cultural performances as well as special Chinese food from local vendors.
Guests at both shopping extravaganzas will also have the opportunity to win cash and other prizes in lucky red envelopes from the God of Wealth.

The Now, one of L.A.'s trendiest boutique massage parlors, has officially opened its doors in Silver Lake.
