Forget the ubiquitous black or navy tux: This quintet of Tony attendees understands the meaning of "All the world's a stage."

  • Gavin Creel

Winner of the Tony for best featured actor in a musical (for Hello, Dolly!), Creel’s dapper look by New York-based Malan Breton included a powder-blue velvet tux jacket, accessorized with a matching tie and sparkling shirt studs.

  • Jordan Roth

A producer of Present Laughter (nominated for best revival of a play), Roth is a fan of Alessandro Michele’s work for Gucci, choosing a head-to-toe look by the Italian label’s creative director. “Last week at the [CFDA Awards], I wore his green velvet snake shoes, but I wanted to bring a little extra oomph to the Tony Awards,” he explained.

  • Hamish Bowles

"It's especially festive, isn’t it?" said Vogue's international editor-at-large of his pink tuxedo with ruffled shirt by New York-based menswear designer David Hart. "I went for a bit of the Broadway razzle-dazzle with the ruffles," Bowles added.

  • Sam Pinkleton

Nominated for best choreography for Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812, Pinkleton stood out in a three-piece metallic suit by Malan Breton. "I don't ever look conservative at all, and [Malan] has really wild taste; this is the first thing he put me in," Pinkleton said. "This whole Tony season I've loved wearing really bright colors and metallics — because it’s just fun, so why not? But this is certainly a slightly more extreme version of that."

  • Bradley King

Winner of the Tony for best lighting design for a musical (for Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812), King struck just the right dandy note in a tux jacket of Italian silk jacquard by David Hart.
