'30 Rock' Producer Sells Pair of Comedies to NBC
Ron Weiner is developing a workplace comedy with Peter Chernin and Katherine Pope and an adaptation of the British comedy "Whites."
30 Rock co-executive producer Ron Weiner is lining up his next gig, setting up a pair of comedies at NBC.
The Emmy nominated writer has sold an untitled workplace comedy about a contentious work marriage in which two people who are polar opposites have to manage a team together and come to admit, begrudgingly, that they need one another.
Chernin Entertainment's Peter Chernin and Katherine Pope will executive produce the comedy, which is set up at 20th Century Fox.

In second position, the Arrested Development alum will adapt the British comedy Whites, through Universal Television. 3 Arts' Howard Klein will executive produce. Whites starred Alan Davies as a celebrity chef who is a little out of touch with the fact that his star has faded.
Weiner is wrapping his run on the final season of NBC's Tina Fey vehicle 30 Rock and has shared in the series' comedy series' three Emmy nominations and 2009 win. He picked up a writing nomination for his work in a 2006 episode of the comedy.
He's repped by UTA and 3 Arts.
For their part part, 30 Rock's Fey recently inked a four-year deal to continue developing small-screen projects for Universal Television and exec producer Matt Hubbard is attached to exec produce Community's Donald Glover's semi-autobiographical comedy for NBC.
