An ABC spokesperson confirms to The Hollywood Reporter that Bobby Cannavale will guest star on Modern Family on an episode airing early next year, as first reported by TVLine. He’ll play Cam’s former clown partner, Louis.

No word yet on how he returns to Cam’s life, but we’re really looking forward to the possible return of Cam’s clown alter-ego, Fizbo. Viewers will remember that we discovered earlier this season that Cam “sleep-clowns.” So, we’re hoping that Cannavale’s guest spot will unveil more clown secrets.

Cannavale has appeared on several TV series, including Cold Case, Law & Order, Will & Grace, and Ally McBeal. His film credits include Win, Win, The Station Agent, and The Bone Collector.
