ABC Pushes 'Revenge' to 10 p.m., Firms Up Midseason Schedule

Following dipping ratings in the series' third season, the Sunday soap gets a later hour in March -- while new series "Killer Women," "Mixology," "Resurrection," "Mind Games" and more all get premiere dates.

ABC has finalized its midseason schedule, and while it includes premiere dates for a handful of new and returning series, the shuffle of one its scripted veterans marks one of the bigger moves.

Starting March 9, Revenge will move from 9 p.m. on Sundays to 10 p.m. The move follows lackluster ratings for the third-year drama, and makes room for freshman Resurrection to open in the more friendly time slot.

Notably absent is The Quest. Previously pushed from its Jan. 2 premiere date, the reality competition is now holding for summer.

Rookie drama Killer Women will take over the Tuesday at 10 p.m. slot previously held by freshman Lucky 7, which became the fall's first casualty and was canceled after airing only two low-rated episodes. Kyle Killen drama Mind Games will take over the slot in March following Killer Women's three-month run.

High-concept freshman comedy Mixology -- from the writers behind The Hangover -- has nabbed the prime post-Modern Family slot on Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m. The series, which takes place entirely over one night, takes over the slot held by Rebel Wilson starrer Super Fun Night, which will have ended its run.

Suburgatory, which was left off the network's fall schedule, will return to its former time slot on Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m. starting Jan. 15. It takes over the slot held by freshman baseball comedy Back in the Game, which has been canceled.

Eight-episode limited series The Assets -- based on the life of CIA counterintelligence officer Sandy Grimes (Jodie Whittaker) -- will bow Thursdays at 10 p.m. as Shonda Rhimes political thriller Scandal goes on its midseason hiatus. Unscripted entry The Taste will take over the Thursdays at 8 p.m. slot that has proved troublesome for the network with freshman limited entry Once Upon a Time in Wonderland.
