ABC Sets Midseason Lineup, Schedules 'GCB,' 'River'
UPDATED: "Work It" to replace "Man Up," effectively canceling the rookie comedy.
ABC has set its midseason lineup, scheduling its Leslie Bibb-Kristin Chenoweth drama GCB and mystery thriller The River.
In addition, the network has also set dates for a handful of reality series including Winter Wipeout and Shark Tank.
GCB, described as a Texas-set version of Desperate Housewives, will air following the Marc Cherry drama on Sundays at 10 beginning March 4, while The River, from the creators of Paranormal Activity, will launch on Tuesday at 9 p.m. starting Feb. 7, filling in for Dancing With the Stars, which will return in March.
Ashley Judd drama Missing will bow in the time slot previously occupied by the now-canceled Charlie's Angels and premiere Thursday at 8 p.m. starting March 15.
STORY: What's Missing From ABC's Midseason Schedule
Cross-dressing comedy Work It will take the place of fellow rookie comedy Man Up starting Jan. 3. The comedy starring Christopher Moynihan will end its initial 13-episode run, effectively canceleing the series.
Missing from the schedule, meanwhile, are freshman series Don't Trust the Bitch, with Krysten Ritter and James Van Der Beek and Shonda Rhimes' Washington-set political fixer drama Scandal, starring Kerry Washington. Returning Courteney Cox comedy Cougar Town was, like NBC's Community earlier this week, left off the schedule.
The network's midseason lineup is below.
